Medical disclaimer (read first)

ReadYourLab provides general informational content to help you understand medical documents and imaging. It is not a medical device, does not provide diagnoses, and does not replace a licensed clinician. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Do not use the Service for emergencies.

No responsibility for health outcomes: You acknowledge and agree that ReadYourLab is not responsible or liable for any health issues, injuries, adverse outcomes, or damages that may arise from your use of the Service or from relying on any information, outputs, or recommendations provided by the Service.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the ReadYourLab website and services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. The Service is not intended for children or minors.

3. The Service and AI Limitations

  • The Service may summarize or explain medical reports, lab results, and imaging data using AI models.
  • AI outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or misleading, and may not reflect your full clinical context.
  • You are responsible for how you use outputs. You should verify information with qualified healthcare professionals.

4. Your Content

"Content" includes any text, files, images, or medical imaging data you submit to the Service. You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit Content and to allow it to be processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to submit Content that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or is used to harass, harm, or deceive others.

5. Image Storage and Deletion

When you upload DICOM image series for analysis, processed images (JPEG copies) and analysis reports are stored on our servers so you can view them, generate study summaries, and access your reports at any time.

  • Uploaded image series remain stored on our servers until you explicitly delete them through the Service interface.
  • You may delete any series at any time via the DICOM management page. Deletion permanently removes both the stored images and any associated analysis data from our servers.
  • Document uploads (PDFs, images) submitted for general analysis are still deleted after processing and are not stored long-term.

6. Prohibited Uses

  • Using the Service for emergency medical situations.
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service.
  • Uploading content you do not have rights to upload, or that violates privacy laws.
  • Using the Service to generate or facilitate illegal activity.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and code, is owned by or licensed to ReadYourLab and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service.

8. No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, READYOURLAB DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, READYOURLAB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY HEALTH ISSUES OR ADVERSE MEDICAL OUTCOMES ALLEGEDLY ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReadYourLab from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, users, or the public. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ReadYourLab is organized, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Where required, mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction may still apply.
