Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about pricing and scan analyses.

What counts as one scan? Study, series, slice — what's the difference?

When you upload a CT or MRI, your files are organized into three levels: Study (or exam) — the entire imaging session, e.g. your full 'MRI of the lumbar spine' appointment. One study usually contains several series. Series (or image series) — one set of related images taken with the same settings, such as a T1-weighted, T2-weighted, FLAIR, or contrast-enhanced sequence in MRI, or one phase/orientation in CT. A typical CT or MRI study has 2–8 series. Slice (or image) — a single 2D cross-section; a series usually contains 50–500 slices, and the AI analyzes the whole 3D stack together. On ReadYourLab, 1 credit = 1 series analysis. An MRI study with 4 series would consume 4 credits if you analyze all of them — you choose which series to analyze.

Does ReadYourLab analyze all my scans?

Yes. ReadYourLab analyzes everything you upload — every image series in your study — and combines it with any extra details you share and the radiology report you attach, if you have one. Your Study Summary then brings all of this together into a single, easy-to-read report. A couple of technical notes worth knowing: 'Localizer' and 'Scout' images are skipped — these are quick positioning shots the technologist uses to set up the scanner, and they carry no diagnostic value. And very large series are capped at 127 slices for technical reasons; if a series contains more, we automatically select 127 evenly spaced slices across the whole series so the AI still gets complete top-to-bottom coverage.

Is the first scan really free?

Yes, your first CT or MRI scan analysis is completely free. No credit card is required. Simply sign up and upload your DICOM files to receive your first AI-powered radiology report at no cost.

Do credits expire?

No, credits never expire. Once you purchase a credit package, your credits remain available in your account indefinitely until you use them.

Is there a subscription?

No, there is no subscription. All credit packages are one-time purchases. You buy credits when you need them, and there are no recurring charges.

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are processed securely through Stripe — we never see or store your card details. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Korean domestic cards) plus a wide range of digital wallets and local payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Samsung Pay, Revolut Pay, Link, MobilePay, MB WAY, Satispay, Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, PAYCO, iDEAL, Bancontact, BLIK, EPS, TWINT, Bizum, Pay By Bank, Pix, and UPI.
